Once again this year, summer in Puch near Salzburg is full of life, joy and unique moments. Whether sporting challenges, sociable evenings or festive highlights - the events of the last few weeks in June and July have once again shown how lively our village in the middle of Salzburgerland is. And August will once again be musical, traditional and colorful!
I was there at all the summer festivals in Puch and captured the best moments at the Puch Puch & Motorcycle Meeting, the Oscar Weidisch Cup of FC Puch, the two local history evenings and the twilight pint at the Kirchenwirt, as well as the summer festival of the Puch FF with the soapbox race and the Jakobikirtag for you. Relive the experiences and enjoy the impressions of the summer festivals in Puch near Salzburg. By the way: On Instagram under @visitpuch you can find more pictures of each event or a video reel with further impressions, where you can hear the unique atmosphere at the festivals!

Are you ready? Here we go with the best moments from past summer festivals in Puch! Have fun browsing through the pictures. If you also have unique pictures from the Puch events, please send them to us by Email or link us on Instagram or Facebook.
1. Family festival at FC Puch: pure fun and soccer at the Oscar Weidisch Cup
The family festival on June 29 as part of the Oscar Weidisch Cup of FC Puch was a real highlight for young and old. Over 60 youth teams competed for the coveted trophies on Saturday and Sunday. In addition to the exciting matches, there was a large raffle with great prizes and the children could really let off steam with the soccer darts and the time measurements for the strongest soccer shots. Of course, there were also plenty of refreshments and the cool drinks were a great way to cool down in the midsummer temperatures. Have a look at @visitpuch, where you can find drone footage of the football event!
2. Puch Puch & Motorcycle Meeting: Nostalgia and horsepower
At the 22nd Puch Puch & Motorcycle Meeting, everything revolved around the love of classic vehicles. The Kirchenwirt in Puch once again became a meeting place for fans of historic two-wheelers and Puch vehicles. In a convivial atmosphere, old acquaintances were refreshed and new friendships made. You could literally feel the horsepower in the air! Want more impressions? Then take a look at the video from last year on Instagram at @visitpuch!
3. Folklore evenings with D'Puachstoana & live music: experience tradition up close
Two balmy summer evenings, two genuine Salzburg traditions - the Puch Tourist Board's Heimat evenings on the new terrace at the Kirchenwirt with the Trachtenverein D'Puachstoana on July 16 and 23, 2024. Accompanied by the sounds of the Zwoa Zylinder, you could experience how customs and community are cultivated in Puch. Dance, music, culinary delights and the Salzburg lifestyle took center stage. Spoons were banged to the beat and visitors were encouraged to dance. You can find a video reel on Instagram under @visitpuch that will put you back in the mood of these evenings!
4. Dämmerschoppen with the Puch band: an evening full of melodies and enjoyment
At the Dämmerschoppen on July 19, 2024 in Puch, not only your ears were spoiled - you could also indulge in the culinary delights of regional cuisine from the Kirchenwirt. A special highlight were the songs from our own ranks and the new medley from the Fäaschtbänkler, which created a great atmosphere. Were you there? If not, be sure to watch the video on Instagram under @visitpuch and let yourself be enchanted by the atmosphere again!
5. Summer festival of the Puch fire department: action, music and socializing
Just like the first edition in 2022, the Freiwillige Feuerwehr Puch summer festival was once again a real spectacle for the whole family. We are delighted that the children had so much fun on our Cleverly bouncy castle and that the Puch Tourist Board was able to support the event.
The soapbox race was particularly exciting, with the boxes flying across the streets. Congratulations to this year's soapbox race winners, the "Old-Vickings" with their self-built Wickey ship.
After the race, there was plenty of partying with Bojanska and a cozy end to the summer evening. A party that not only strengthened camaraderie, but also provided plenty of fun and entertainment. As always, there are insights on @visitpuch - the video is worth it!
6. Jakobikirtag with historical marksmen's dance of the JakobischĂĽtzen: Tradition meets community
The Jakobikirtag in St. Jakob am Thurn was once again a celebration of tradition and togetherness this year. Although the procession unfortunately had to be canceled due to the weather and the festive mass took place in the pilgrimage church, this did not dampen the mood. The festival, which was once again wonderful despite a wet start, attracted numerous guests from near and far. The atmosphere was at its peak at 4 p.m. at the latest during the historical marksmen's dance and the children had fun at the Punch and Judy show at the castle tower and shopping at the stalls. On Instagram under @visitpuch you can find a video of the ceremonial parade to the festive mass, the marquee operation and morning pint with the Puch band, right through to the marksmen's dance and the marquee atmosphere with the Zwoa Zylinder - be sure to take a look!
